Hoverboards will ALWAYS need to be recalibrated (reset) periodically, even if they receive a replacement. This is part of the device's routine maintenance.
It most likely needs recalibration when your hoverboard in such situations:

• Your hoverboard is shaking/wobbling.
• My hoverboard is only working on one side / only one wheel is turning

How to do the recalibration (reset)?

1. Turn off the unit
2. Place the unit on a flat surface and align both platforms. They should be perfectly aligned and not twisted away from one another in any way.
3. Press and hold the start button for about 5-30 seconds, until the LED lights starting flashing. (Depends on the model)
4. Let go of the start button once the lights stop flashing
5. Turn off the unit.

Your unit is now recalibrated. Try recharging it now. You might have to do this 2 or 3 times. Below is a video for more information.

Why hoverboard doesn't turn on?
The hoverboards will not turn on if the voltage on the battery is too low. So first please make sure your hoverboard has been charged.

Why battery on the board will not stay charged?
Most common charging errors are because of bad chargers.
How To Test if Your Hoverboard Charger is Broken?

1. Plug the hoverboard in.
2. Ensure that there is a red light on your hoverboard charger when it is plugged in.
3. If there is a red light, skip to step #7.
4. If there is no light, and your hoverboard charger is equipped with one, then either your hoverboard charger is broken or your electrical socket is not getting power.
5. Test the electrical outlet with another device you are certain is working, such as your cell phone charging cable.
6. If the electrical socket is working properly, then you need a new charger.
7. Charge your hoverboard for 2-3 hours. This should give you a full battery.
8. After 2-3 hours of charging, unplug the charger from the hoverboard and press the on/off button once to turn it on.
9. If the hoverboard does not turn on at all, this could indicate a wiring problem. If it turns on, go to the next step.
10. If both lights on top of your hoverboard are green, the battery has some sort of charge. If a green light is blinking then this means that your hoverboard battery has a low charge, typically less than 20%. If a red light appears and the hoverboard is beeping at you, it means that your hoverboard battery is dangerously low, and typically has less than 5% battery remaining. Do not ride a hoverboard with a red light, especially when it is beeping!
11. If both lights are green, try riding your hoverboard around. If the hoverboard does not last very long, then your hoverboard charger could be the problem. It could also be the battery.
